Tony Stark lives in a mansion in Malibu, California, which has breathtaking views of pacific ocean. It has a modern architecture and is equipped with an advanced security and home automation system which run by Jarvis (Tony Stark's A.I. assistant). He lives there with his personal assistant and current girlfriend Pepper Pots and his friend Happy Hogan. Tony stark spends most of his time tinkering with Iron Man suits in the garage which is now his lab. This Mansion is magnificent, it has everything that a dream house should have, I am sure most of us would love to live in it. The house not only amazes us, but also makes us wonder whether it is real or not. So, is Tony Stark's Mansion real ?
The answer is no, the house does not exist in real life. Its outer view is digitally created by
Conceptual artist Phil Saunders. The interior is a combination of filming set and green screen. well, that is the short answer, but some of you may be interested in a long one. So, for those people, i will try to explain the reasoning behind the answer along with evidences which support it. Below are three reasons why I believe that Stark's residence in Malibu coast is not real :
1. It is located on Point Dume

If you've watched enough Iron Man movies or read about Tony Stark's Awesome house, you'll know that it is located on Point Dume. Point Dume is a place of historical significance thus no building can be built there. This was the first thing that made me think that the mansion is not real.
From Wikipedia : "In Iron Man, Tony Stark’s huge seaside mansion is located on Point Dume… Though interior shots of the home were filmed on real sets, the house itself is fictional. Because Point Dume is a protected area and thus construction on its cliffs is strictly prohibited, the home was created as a 3D model and digitally placed on the rocks in post-production.”
2. You can not find the house on Google Earth
If you are still not convinced, you can try to find the house using Google Earth. Many people have been trying to find the house using Google Earth but no one has ever found any building sitting on Point Dume. here is a photo taken using Google Earth :
3. Jon Favreau said that the house is not real

I think this is the most convincing evidence. Jon Favreau said “It’s sort of like the best spot and nobody is allowed to build there, so we put a digital house there.” The director clearly knew that Point Dume is a historical landmark, he wanted the best spot with the best view and it's something no one can have, perhaps to represent Tony Stark's charm as a playboy billionaire who can have anything he wants.
The house is indeed not real, but its presence in the movie succeeded in convincing us that Tony Stark is indeed a genius billionaire. he has a beautiful house with breathtaking views located in a place where no building is supposed to be, yet there it is. Moreover, the house is equipped with the most advanced security and home automation system run by a super intelligent A.I., making it one of the most secure and most efficient house in the world.
